This is really nice and friendly establishment in Pooley Bridge and very popular, however we dined here on a not so busy Saturday evening and didn't feel the staff were on there game as they made 2 mistakes, the first was they took the drinks order for the 3 of us and forgot to bring my son's soft drink to the table and the second was my wife and son ordered and shared a pizza and they made the wrong one and was too spicy for my son, they both eat it and without us saying anything it was picked up by the waitress who then came back to our table a few minutes later and apologised and said she had removed the charge for the pizza which in my opinion was the right thing to do, my fish and chips were really nice but at £18.00 very expensive like most places in the area, I would be happy to dine here again even though on this occasion things didn't run as smoothly as they should have done.

Such a lovely place! Food was amazing, all the staff was so friendly and helpful. Definitely be returning!

The restaurant was very busy and it took a while to be given the menus and for our initial drinks order to be taken. We did receive an apology for this and from then on the service was excellent and the food came quickly after this. Our main meals and desserts were beautifully presented and were extremely nice. We were residents of the Marina Village so we had the pleasant bonus of a 10% reduction to our bill. I would like to visit again.

Beautiful meals with a lovely atmosphere!! Only thing I would say was to introduce table service due to being so busy! But 5 star from us 👌

Quiet and elegant dining room overlooking the hotel's extensive gardens, with views down to the lake. The menu is traditional British. All the dishes were very nicely presented and the food was to a high standard. An unusual addition to the table was a small freshly baked loaf, cut into four and served hot in a small pot. Delicious with the olive oil and balsamic dip that is served with it. There is a an extensive wine lost to compliment the meal. It was an enjoyable experience!
