Fabulous lunch. Delicious sparkling rose by the glass. Great bread, gorgeous butter, homemade pâté, tasty moules, garlicky chicken, the crispiest potatoes, creamy bavarois with blackberries, a short espresso, easy friendly service, will definitely have a green chartreuse next time. Thank you!

Best meal Ive had in Devon! Loved the decor first of all, shabby chic converted bank complete wtih menu written up on the vault door. Delicious food cooked right in front of us - we have several sharing plates for 3 including ox heart, and pasta with rabbit. Only about 18 settings or so, giving intimate ambience. Def going back.

Where to start!! Our whole evening was a delight in both food and ambience from start to finish. Arthur is a wonder. His ever changing menu using locally sourced produce is delightful We were a group of 4 and we ordered everything on the menu! So many different tastes and textures but all complementing each other. Definite North African vibe and delicious. Food comes when ready and if made for sharing. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I love the eclectic tableware and interior design. Lovely setting, amazing food, excellent friendly service and a stunning moon. Little gem of a place.

This was a wonderful surprise. We have lived in the area for 12 years but never been to this pub. We have tried all the highest recommended around us but never here. We can’t recommend this highly enough. Went for Sunday lunch and the moment we walked through the door had a great friendly reception. Had a couple of glasses of Prosecco in the garden then went to eat. Starters amazing - tigers prawns grilled on charcoal and the most amazing Cullen skink we have ever tasted. We then had Sunday roast which was superb with two great bottles of wine. Then went and chilled out in the garden. Fantastic service all the way through. Simply wonderful. Loved it.
