Chisen is a Japanese restaurant featuring seasonal cuisine. The kitchen staff at Chisen are careful to honor the four seasons in their cooking, and in doing so are constantly reinventing their menu depending on what ingredients are seasonally available and which ones are going out. Chisen's menu is always served in a prix fixe fashion with anywhere between seven and twelve courses depending on the size of what it is they are serving. In 1971, the original Hard Rock Cafe was established in London. Very strange that I’m coming to Tokyo to enjoy American steak but Empire is a quick walk from my Roppongi hotel and the service here is top notch fantastic. It’s also friendly for solo diners and many of the salads and sides can be ordered half-size. They also carry my favorite Napa Merlot by Duckhorn. Head waiter Ito-san is about as professional and old-school as you can find anywhere these days …….all I can say is that Empire is worth the visit and cost because sometimes, no matter where you are, that craving for a juicy, rare, grass-fed USDA prime cut of beef must be fulfilled, with extreme perfection!!
