The service was impeccable!! The waitresses were very patient with us as we were quite a big group and took a while to decide on our meals. The food came out very promptly and was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone was very happy with their meals. The waitresses were also very helpful as we had a birthday cake so they brought us plates for that and took photos for us. All in all a fantastic place to have a special family meal and celebration.

Absolutely love this place. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is fantastic. Every dish is creative and the whole dining experience is fun and enjoyable. 11/10.

We returned to The High Street Kitchen in July but it was the first time for our guests. They chose the steaks which were perfectly cooked (blue and medium rare). We had the grey mullet and braised beef which were faultless. Portions are a great size and beautifully presented. We felt the menu was good value for money and although the menu choice is small, the the servers/kitchen were happy to adjust our menu choices with any requests. The wine selection is also very good and this time we tried some of the dessert wines as well, all excellent again.

We had olives and almonds with drinks. Quite a lot, one would have been enough. Tuna starter was very good, sea bream ceviche also very good but comparatively small. Husband had the sirloin which he scored 3/5. My cod with a caper butter sauce and crushed new potatoes was excellent. Nicest fish dish I’ve had out for a very long time.

We love coffee & lunch at The Larder, but the Tapas is off the charts OUTSTANDING! I've never met a more enthusiastic host than Carl, the lengths he goes to sourcing ingredients, checking their provenance and then creating heavenly dishes with them. His team is charming, there's always a bit of chaos, lots of smiling and laughter - and probably a shot of limoncello somewhere along the way!
