Many times eating at wineries, the wine is great and the food can be average (and vice versa). At Summerfield both are amazing and all concocted by the exuberantly passionate Mark Summerfield. I mean who would have thought to have a sour dough base for his pizzas? The Rose' enjoyed with the majority of the pizzas is a match made in heaven.

We ordered the grazing platter, the smoked hummus dip and the empanadas. The food was very nice and we would recommend all of the items we ordered. The service was great, very friendly owner and food delivered in good time. This is a nice spot with great views and nearby grapevines to look out at - and lots of hares running around the vines! Would be very nice here in Summer

I visited Wild with a Sydney friend who eats out there a lot. We both spoke about the quality of the food and the wines we had and the fact that we left feeling that we had eaten beautifully prepared and balanced meals without the feeling of having eaten excessively. Wild has a really good reputation in Castlemaine and last night really lived up to it. The only slight negative was the noise level as there was a table with about 12 people who were very noisy. As we were near the end of our meal we were able to leave shortly after the noise level increased.

Great place for families. We loved the play area as we have younger kids 3 and 7 years of age. It kept them entertained. The setting is stunning. We sat near the window which overlooked the beautiful nature of halls gap, lots of kangaroos to look at. Our meals were ok.

We were greeted in a way that felt that we were regulars. All staff were so friendly and professional. Great atmosphere topped off with fabulous food
