Next Door is the sister restaurant of Margaret, which, quite literally, sits next door to it at the corner of Bay St and Guilfoyle Avenue. Located in the basement of 24 Bay St, Double Bay, the same Neville Gruzman-designed heritage building as Neil’s pan-Asian-fusion, Songbird, Bobbie’s was named for Linden’s grandfather, the legendary radio broadcaster Bob Rogers, who mingled with the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in their heyday. It's all about mid-century furnishings, plush velvet, live jazz, finger food and world-class cocktails. It’s about keeping things in the family: when Linden was 17, he was polishing glasses at Neil’s Rockpool restaurant.
