As soon as Amy Chanta flung open the doors in 1989 Chat Thai became an instant smash hit with Sydney diners already familiar with Thailand and no appetite for compromising on ingredients, flavours, textures and aromas. Good as ever. The short rib is amazing and that purple drink with coffee and whiskey. First you get the flowery hit then coffee and then…. smooth enveloping cream.! in that order. Very entertaining. A special place.

The food was delicious but the serving size of some of the dishes could have been bigger. We ordered the crispy pork but there wasn't many pieces of pork. The ambience of the place is really nice and good for groups.
