L'établissement Harwood Arms a rouvert ses portes en septembre 2008 après des travaux de rénovation nécessaires. Ce havre de paix rural situé au cœur de Fulham est né d'une collaboration entre Brett Graham du célèbre restaurant Ledbury, Mike Robinson du pub prisé Pot Kiln se trouvant dans le Berkshire rural et Edwin Vaux de la brasserie réputée Vaux. Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores; although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name, it also has a very British name - John Dory. 'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves.
