Dans les années 80, il a été le premier restaurant de Caroline du Nord à interdire de fumer. Aujourd'hui, le café est le plus ancien restaurant de Raleigh à avoir gardé son propriétaire d'origine. Il a beaucoup changé au fil des années, mais ses valeurs fondamentales sont restées les mêmes. Ses repas primés sont faits maison avec des ingrédients d'origine bio et locale.
