Nara prefecture is said to be one of the birthplaces of Japanese culture. For more than a century, it has welcomed many V.I.P guests from not only Japan but all over the world.Eel is a popular traditional Japanese food. There is a habit of eating eel after visiting shrines in many places, such as Narita-mountain Shinsho temple, Atsuta shrine and Mishima temple. It has also been a popular dish of Kaiseki-ryori (full course Japanese cuisine) in Kikusuiro. The secret eel sauce still keeps the same taste since Kikusuiro first opened its door.
