Shorty's Executive Head Chef James Morrow has created & curated our menu over 10 years, carefully straddling the line of fine steakhouse dining, with small-town Indiana fare. We are located in Garrett, Indiana, 10 minutes from the historic Auburn downtown and the ACD museum. Also, 20 minutes north of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 15 minutes from Kendallville, Indiana and 25 minutes south of Angola, Indiana. We love that we bring all these communities together at Shorty's. It was the 1930s and Six Mile and Conant was like any street corner in Detroit… people walking to the market, neighbors helping neighbors, and friends meeting at the local gathering spot now known as Buddy’s. Buddy’s existed as a “blind pig,” skirting the State and Federal laws that governed the on-site sale and usage of alcohol. Booze was available there. The owner at the time was August “Gus” Guerra.

    Wonderful dinner last night. Everything was delicious. Oysters are something I don’t know a lot about so I was really impressed with that course. They were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. I’m always impressed with the staff and the food that their kitchen prepared. I had the wine pairing and every wine complimented their course.

    Our meals were excellent. My salmon was prepared perfectly. We definitely recommend West on Warren. The only downside is that it can get very loud, when it’s busy.

    VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL WAIT STAFF. HAD A FIRST TIME SERVER AND HE DID GREAT. HOSTESSES WERE AMAZING AS WELL. SECOND TIME EATING HERE AND WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK.

    Best place to watch an ND game. Food is excellent. Drinks are top notch. Service is always outstanding (special shout out to Lori, our server on 11/9/24 who is so welcoming) and there’s not a bad seat in the house to see a TV. Make sure you have a reservation and GO!
