Argentina-raised John Rattagan was the family grill master from an early age, in a country where the asado (barbecue) enjoys near sacred status. Welcome to BEHIND. We are an intimate 1 Michelin star fish-focused tasting menu restaurant run by chef Andy Beynon. Situated on the edge of London Fields, Hackney, BEHIND has 18 kitchen-table seats for lunch and dinner sittings, as well as a relaxed wine bar. BEHIND is Andy Beynon’s first restaurant, opened in October 2020. After just 20 days’ trading it was awarded its first Michelin Star. Andy spent 15 years working in some of the best Michelin star restaurants in the country, including with chefs Claude Bosi, Phil Howard and Michael Wignall.

Papi is a low-waste focused restaurant located in London Fields with a changing, seasonal menu and a low intervention wine list. Our dining room is intimate and cosy, with low tables, counter top and a high-top chef’s table in front of our open kitchen. Our menu, which is designed to share, changes regularly but we offer dishes such as BBQ potato bun with tuna ‘Nduja, raw bream and Tosazu as well as larger format plates like whole John Dory with yuzu Beurre Blanc or adobo Guinea Fowl with baby leeks.

The name Ombra literally means ‘shadow’, in Venetian dialect it’s the familiar term for a small glass of wine, which originates from the traditional wine sellers retreating to the shade of St. Mark's Tower to shield the wines from the hot sun.
