Suzie Q was unapologetically rebellious, alluring and ahead of her time. Bathed in the red glow of oriental charm, her underground chinese restaurant was a well-kept secret by those in the know during the 80’s in downtown San Francisco; a hidden gem drawing people in from across the city with her timeless dishes and unforgettable ambiance. Suzie Q embodies the indulgence of this rich legacy, re-imagined through a modern lens and coupled with retro oriental charm, classic chinese fare and contemporary cocktails.

"Abacus bar & kitchen is a cafe concept that could and should be replicated and enjoyed all around the world. It has embraced the 'all day dining' model with a breakfast menu that transforms into snacks and evening dining making it an option for any mood or customer. It also has a fully licensed drinks list and al fresco seating to suit the late afternoon spritz while people watching as one of Melbourne's busiest strips passes you by.All of this inside one of Melbourne's best interior spaces, Abacus provides a casual dining experience to remember. The food is good and honest, it has broken out of the traditional mould for opening hours, the customer service is elevated, sustainability is deeply rooted in their ethos and it's a design-driven space that you want to be in. These business characteristics harmoniously work together and the success of them shows in the lines of people waiting for tables to enjoy a meal here."- future food

We believe that wine should represent the place from which it was grown and the four seasons that pass through that place in a given year. We showcase vignerons who grow their fruit in a thoughtful way and who guide that fruit to bottle with the gentlest hand possible. We also serve a seasonal selection of small plates to enjoy with a glass (or two) of wine with cheese and dessert to finish with, as well as classic cocktails, rotating tap beers and a large selection of canned and bottled beer. The front bar has a few private tables as well as shared bar seating, great for enjoying the atmosphere. The courtyard is great on a sunny day and has heaters for the cold ones, and the cabin is home to a roaring fireplace for when it gets really chilly.Whilst reservations are recommended because we fill up quickly, we always keep a few tables aside for walk-ins.
Colonel Tan's affordable menu combines traditional Thai cuisine with a cheeky American diner aesthetic. The name is a tribute to legendary Thai pop star Tan Punturaumporn. Years ago, Tan’s kitchen staff took to calling him the Colonel when they started serving a Five Spice Chicken that brought to mind a certain chicken-loving colonel from America’s Deep South. Located on Melbourne's trendy Chapel Street you can stop in for dinner, check out some art installations, exhibitions, live music or watch the venue turn into the infamous Revolver Upstairs nightclub!
