Acorn is a gem of a restaurant- delicious food , cooked by a chef with real passion, using the best ingredients to create mouth watering dishes. All the staff were lovely, very professional and also very friendly. The restaurant provides excellent value for money. We went at lunchtime and there was a good choice from ‘the lunch menu’ for very reasonable prices (similar to local pub grub food but much better food ) as well as a great selection of tapas. We chose from the a la carte menu - more expensive but still very good value for money as the meals were very special. A full wine list with a wide selection, again, lots of choice at a reasonable price. Godalming is very fortunate to have such a fantastic restaurant. We thoroughly recommend it and will return as soon as possible.

Fabulous food, friendly people, in a great spot. Couldn’t have asked for more for a mid-week evening out.

It was a very warm day so decided to eat inside where it was cooler and also very quiet as most other diners chose to sit outside. Very friendly and efficient service so certainly will visit again.

We walked in the area and were very pleased to have found The Star. On entering the pub we felt it was special and were not disappointed. Food, service and overall ambiance was excellent. We will definitely be back.

I had booked this pub to watch the France Euros game as we had a French family come over the day before a wedding and was absolutely thrilled with the service and ambience of the place. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and it was a very chilled evening watching the game in a lovely beer garden. The food was great and the family all said they had a great evening...thank you!
