Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.The hotel has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of the downstairs areas and we have created cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. The food & service never disappoints. Being able to request a certain table is much appreciated. I would highly recommend the Royal whether for a couple or group.

We are regular visitors the food is always great, good value for money and very friendly attentive staff, Christmas decorations look amazing too.
