This was our first visit to Water Lane. It is a fantastic venue. The garden is delightful and even in the rain it looks glorious. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful and interactive. The food was amazing, delicious and generous in portions. Overall we are delighted to have visited and will hopefully go again especially in better weather. Would totally recommend Water Lane to any discerning diner.

First time at this restaurant, the whole experience was first class. Food was excellent good value for money. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yes I may be a local,, but the George Hotel really is an outstanding place, not just to eat, but to spend the whole evening....This is especially true , if you are dinning solo....all the team are so professional ,,yet extremely friendly. The Chef also puts some interesting "twists" into the menu,, without being too Avant-garde....nothing is too much trouble for the front of house teams.....and because of the , slightly open plan kitchen, it's nice to see the complete process...for me , Chris Gomez,, this has to be one of favourite place....and that includes London where I eat a lot....my thats to ALL the teams,front and back of house...nice job..Regards Chris G

As always staff and service are excellent and the food is outstanding.

Another trip to our favourite pub! We travel about 30 minutes to get to this pub but it is worth the journey. The food is fresh and home made! The pub is lively inside filled with mix of ages and seemed like a popular pub for locals and dog walkers. We chose to sit in the garden pub to soak up the remaining sun of the day. It was calm and quiet in the garden but still most of the tables filled with people eating. We will return soon. Thank you for another amazing visit.
