The Salthouse Tavern is a large, two-roomed, friendly local pub, in the heart of east Hull, close to the village of Sutton, Howdale Road, Salthouse Road and Gleneagle Park.     Had my wife and I had my birthday meal at Riva Blu, fantastic food and staff, they treated us so well.

    All meals were top quality. We had beef tenderloins which were cooked to perfection (medium rare was asked for). The sea bass fillets were lovely and both calzone were filled with meat. These are huge portions so be ready to be full. We also had starters. I loved my aubergine one but the mussels apparently were also good and so was the cheesey garlic bread. The desserts look gorgeous but unfortunately we were far too full to fit these in. Maybe next time we won't have the starter. We booked a table and really glad we did as it was very busy. All the staff were friendly and polite. We will definitely go back

    The staff was excellent they kept checking things was ok wasn't waiting long for meals or drinks
