As you walk into the Peacock you get the feeling of history, built in 1652, the hotel was originally used as a dower house for Haddon Hall. The link between the two survives today as Lord Edward Manners brought the hotel back into his estate in 2004, the hotel has many pieces of unique furniture and art work from the Estate. The Bar is another step back into the past with a copper topped bar and untouched surroundings, the extensive cocktail and drinks list can be enjoyed in the bar or lounge before dinner. Our restaurant team have been the proud bearers of three AA rosettes–the top ten percent in the country. We offer both an indulgent, fine dining menu & a more relaxed bar menu to suit most tastes or moods. We serve truly local ingredients including organically-reared beef & lamb from the Haddon Estate. We are open for lunch in our bar and restaurant Tuesday to Saturday and dinner in our bar Tuesday to Friday and dinner in our restaurant Tuesday to Saturday.

Took my wife for her 70th birthday and had a wonderful afternoon tea. Couldn't fault anything, food was lovely and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Would love to go again

I can put my experience into words, but it wouldn’t quite nail it whatever I said. What an amazing place. The Sunday Roast was probably the best I’ve ever had in my life )and believe me I’ve had a few). Just go and find out for yourself. You won’t be sorry.

Amazing service. Treated our dogs like royalty, biscuits, water, nothing was too much trouble. Wasn't keen on the wine I chose, swaped it no problem. Was a little wait on the food but they communicated and let us know. The staff were so friendly and food was perfect!

We ordered the Chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly, and would recommend to fellow diners. The restaurant decor was very pleasing and the spacing between tables nicely arranged.

An absolutely wonderful Jubilee picnic, the coronation chicken and rice was gorgeous. Such a wonderful array of rolls, quiche, scotch egg, crisps to accompany, you could tell they were specially selected for quality, and a fresh cream scone and jam, summer berries and brownie to finish. All beautifully packaged in a lovely insulated bag. Perfect.
