Restaurants près de Elmlea Meadows

We have to this pub several times and haven’t been disappointed with the food or wine but one of the waitresses was rather bolshie which rather took the gloss off the occasion this time. Also the matting in the corridor to the lavatories had seen better days and looked quite disgusting. High time for a replacement.

We went out for a Friday lunch meal, my husband had the pie of the day and I had Chicken un croute. Both meals were very good. if there was a complaint my husband would have like a little jug of extra gravy.

Our anniversary experience was quite good although we were situated in a remote part of the restaurant when more appealing window views were available elsewhere. Food was well presented and generally ideal but the lamb took quite a bit of chewing. The hake was delicious! We had a main course and dessert only. No wine. £100 was quite pricey. Thanks for the complimentary Prosecco!
