Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse.This cheeky, vibrant and buzzing Vietnamese Fusion venue is one for your to-do list. A great experience for our first visit here. We had the pre theatre tasting menu, as we were going to a show at the Comedy. Staff were very helpful with menu options for my partner who has dietary issues. The food was delicious, especially the Kingfish Sashimi and the Barramundi. Highly recommend. The background music (Jazz) was relaxing and not too loud. All in all an excellent evening

Drinks are absolutely phenomenal! The food was also really good and full of flavour. Favs include the corn (elote) and fish tacos :)

Askal was fantastic! I was there to catch-up with a friend. I always wanted to try it out but the booking system says it's only available to two or more. It's exactly what it says - elevated FIlipino food!
