Next Door is the sister restaurant of Margaret, which, quite literally, sits next door to it at the corner of Bay St and Guilfoyle Avenue. In partnership with Linden Pride of the renowned Dante, New York, Bobbie’s has the underground, free-spirited energy of a speakeasy with the refined, sophisticated flair of a Neil Perry institution. Located in the basement of the same Neville Gruzman-designed heritage building as Neil’s pan-Asian-fusion, Songbird, Bobbie’s was named for Linden’s grandfather, the legendary radio broadcaster Bob Rogers, who mingled with the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in their heyday. It's all about mid-century furnishings, plush velvet, live jazz, finger food and world-class cocktails. It’s about keeping things in the family: when Linden was 17, he was polishing glasses at Neil’s Rockpool restaurant.     We had THE BEST night celebrating our son-in-law's 50th birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect and made for such a memorable event! Being encouraged to share our entrée selections was such a great idea, allowing all seven of us to sample the variety of offerings. Thank you so much to Bella and all the lovely staff of the beautiful restaurant, Margaret. Mr Perry has every right to be enormously proud of this marvellous venue.

    The high tea was elegant tasty and filling - the scones were delicious and served warm - perhaps make a serviette avail to cover them to keep warm - other feedback for awareness is to add another savoury(?) that’s not a criticism in any way!
