My husband & I returned on a blustery, wet October day when everyone was scuttling about, but the warmth inside a packed Springtide was so welcoming. The sardines with a rich tomato and basil sauce immediately beckoned to my husband, while I chose the crispy calamari with garlicky aioli. The homemade tartare sauce is one of my favourites and Simon enjoyed the New England chowder, enjoyed by my sister on our previous visit, although our daughter had the spicier chowder with ‘Nduja :) Finally, we couldn’t resist sharing a “dark & stormy” sticky toffee pudding! Others around us were enjoying a delicious looking Sunday roast, with cauliflower cheese :) Before we left, we booked our next meal at Springtide!

Our second visit of the week to the Smugglers Inn, and we were not disappointed. Lovely meal was had and of good sized portions. The jam and coconut sponge with custard desert met my expectations. It was wonderful.

Booked a table here for our anniversary meal and we were certainly not disappointed! Stunning, delicious plates of food, lovingly created to show off local produce. We were blown away! Highly recommended. We look forward to visiting again and again!

Our go to restaurant for special occasions. Today was my mum's birthday and she was treated like the queen that she is. Prosecco on arrival and a super meal. Very friendly waiting staff and superbly cooked Chateaubriand. Thank you!!

A fantastic meal in a beautiful location. Right on the shore at Downderry, this is a real hidden gem. The staff were super friendly, amazing food, great atmosphere, lovely sea views - what more could you want!
