Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Masuya Restaurant opened in 1993, then full renovation was implemented in 2006.The approx. five meters long sushi counter, designed by architect Robert Toland in ‘kabuki red’ with an idea of the stage of kabuki, has since fascinated not only local Australian customers but also various people with different backgrounds.A showcase displays more than 20 different sushi ingredients everyday including locally produced fish, which is purchased on the day. Other carefully selected ingredients are wagyu beef, free-range pork, and seasonal vegetables. Specially designed tableware of Malcolm Greenwood and tables made of Tasmanian Oak is also creating a great atmosphere. Enjoy your time in this amazing space of hospitality.

Chat Thai became an instant smash hit in 1989 when it opened its first restaurant with plenty of heat and authentic Thai dishes. We've since added restaurants in Circular Quay, Westfield Sydney, Neutral Bay, Chatswood and Galeries Victoria, and in 2015 we added organic, fresh produce from our farm in Byron Bay.     As quickly as the food came out that’s how quickly it was finished. My partner and I ate it within 10 minutes in complete silence and were so impressed with how amazing the food was. Looking forward to coming again and actually savouring the food next time.

    We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Charming small cozy restaurant right next door to the Marriott where we were staying. I so enjoyed my red sangria I had 2. The cows milk with lavender honey, walnuts and bread was our favorite 🤩. The chicken skewer and slider were also very good. And a neighboring table insisted on letting us try her potatoes - kind of huge but also very good. And créma catalan with a gift small glass of really tasty port. Highly recommend

    This place is amazing.We visit once every 3 months or so and our visit this time was the best ever. Patagonian toothfish, pipis and lobster, all cooked to perfection. Well done Neptunes palace.

    The food,surroundings and service was excellent. Our waiter Francois really looked after us with excellent interpretation of the menu and the sommelier was equally as informative. I can recommend the veal. We will definitely be back very soon.

    We had a great table for 2 at the front edge, with a clear view of the opera house and the people strolling the waterfront. The linguine with seafood was delicious, as was the burrata and the Italian beer. Tiramasu was tasty, but we wished we had shared because the portion was huge! On Christmas Eve, it was very busy, so service was a bit off, but all the servers were so pleasant that I can’t fault them.
