We are very proud to have been voted Best Restaurant by our diners through Open Table.A well established independent family run dog-friendly pub with real log fires, in the heart of Berkhamsted; considered by many to be a "proper" pub. With the benefit of a car park and a spacious, sunny beer garden, backing onto the canal. Plus an enclosed, heated mediterranean styled decking area to the rear, perfect for Al Fresco dining. Our seasonal menu and specials, are created in house by our head chef Oli Board and his team, show casing fresh local produce and catering to all dietary requirements. Sunday is all about our home cooked Roast, served till 5.00pm. Food from the kitchen is available during all bookable hours.Homemade bar snacks, cakes and coffee are always available.
