The Longstore has always produced top notch food no matter what day of the week you go. It is always consistently good food. The staff are always polite and attentive. Even when busy they serve you quickly. All food is cooked to order, so is always fresh and hot. The food always tastes so good. The chefs do a wonderful job.

We had a special 70th birthday lunch with friends. I'd booked online in advance and was so pleased to arrive and find Happy Birthday greetings on our table! The specials board was extensive and the choices we made were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. The staff here are really lovely, attentive and friendly. Wonderful, tasty and beautifully presented! The best meal we had!! We were pleasantly surprised with how busy it was on a Monday evening in November but the food was testament to why this was. We had salt and pepper calamari, and mussels for starter, then my partner had the chowder and I had the chicken. Totally delicious with a charming server and wonderful setting. If we didn’t live 5.5 hours away we would be back for sure! Lovely touch with glass of bubbly!! Thank you for such a great evening 👌

This is the second time I've visited the Tartan Fox and it doesn't disappoint! I love the decor and vibe - it's relaxed yet beautifully done and lovely and cosy at this time of year. The food is incredible (the cheese doughnuts with truffle are a must have!) and the service is very good, our waiters and waitresses both times have been thorough in explaining the dishes, offering wine pairings and recommendations and making sure everyone is well looked after. I've gone both for a girly meal with a friend and a big family meal and both times everyone was very happy!
