Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. This pub never disappoints! Fresh, local, seasonal food that is beautifully prepared with exceptional service in a gorgeously appointed (both modern and traditional) space. My favourite pub in the surrounding Bristol area.

We had lunch there today. I had the normal fish and chips which was lovely, nice light batter not greasy and thick cut chips. I would have preferred to have a garden pea option as I find mushy peas a bit dry. My husband had gammon and eggs with chips and no complaints there. The staff were very helpful and attentive and a good atmosphere.

The food was cooked to perfection.The staff were attentive but not over attentive. We visit La Famiglia on a regular basis and have yet to be disappointed.
