We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019. We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. Perched on the hillside offering panoramic views of The Cobb and Jurassic Coast, The Oyster & Fish House is arguably the most picturesque spot in Dorset to enjoy locally sourced fish and seafood. A large terrace wraps around the informal, light and airy dining room offering the perfect al fresco experience with unrivalled views of the coastline. We support our local fishermen, so you may often see them bringing their catch up to the restaurant. In addition to a selection of snacks and starters, you can expect simply grilled fish on the bone, and of course, the delicious Dorset oysters and shellfish we have on our doorstep. The menu can change twice a day depending on what the fishermen bring to us. Please note we do not serve meat dishes, but we do have vegetarian, vegan and kids menus available.Large tables are welcomed, and for bookings of 16 or more (including book outs) we ask for you to choose one of our seasonal feasts - designed to share.
The Restaurant at Lakeview Manor is open to residents and non-residents. Open daily for breakfast served from 8am-10am and dinner served from 6pm - 8.30pm. Lunches are available on weekends from 12pm-3pm. Enjoy fresh, local produce in a relaxed atmosphere.We have a well-stocked bar with a selection of locally-brewed Otter Ales – a true taste of Devon, full of individual flavour and aromas as well as a fine selection of wines.
