The White Horse is nestled opposite the beatuiful church in Bradford on Tone, with a lovely river walk along the Tone just round the corner. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019. We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

Very busy in bar area when we arrived, luckily we had booked and was given a table in restaurant area, service was good and efficient, food was delicious and of good quality, plates were cleared quickly Enjoyable Sunday lunch and would highly recommend

We went for tapas but were seduced by the main menu and weren’t disappointed. The game terrine with apricot chutney was perfectly balanced. The beef bourginon marinated in red wine for three days was perfect. My husband thought the haddock fish cakes were excellent and he loved the Mediterranean cod with samphire (advertised as wilted greens!) was to die for. We both enjoyed our desserts and our decaf coffees with a great selection of whiskeys and liqueurs. We have loved this restaurant since it opened and it goes from strength to strength. We are now looking forward to the new tapas menu which will include some Japanese influences.
