Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Masuya Restaurant opened in 1993, then full renovation was implemented in 2006.The approx. five meters long sushi counter, designed by architect Robert Toland in ‘kabuki red’ with an idea of the stage of kabuki, has since fascinated not only local Australian customers but also various people with different backgrounds.A showcase displays more than 20 different sushi ingredients everyday including locally produced fish, which is purchased on the day. Other carefully selected ingredients are wagyu beef, free-range pork, and seasonal vegetables. Specially designed tableware of Malcolm Greenwood and tables made of Tasmanian Oak is also creating a great atmosphere. Enjoy your time in this amazing space of hospitality.

A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Tapas, & Friends. Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia’s first Sherry Bar in Sydney, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'.

A sherwal is a traditional, multi-layered baggy men’s trousers worn in various areas of the Mediterranean. Centuries old, it is a rare sight nowadays, except in remote villages and at traditional cultural ceremonies and, well, at our restaurant. Why name our restaurant after an archaic pants? Because, somehow, this pair of comfortable pants has found its way into our modern world, with little tweaks here and there taking the form of harem pants or baggy jeans, fusing the old with the new. And this is what we want to do. We want to take old culinary masterpieces from the Mediterranean and fuse them together, with new flavours here and there, adding new colours and new tastes to the table.

Chat Thai became an instant smash hit in 1989 when it opened its first restaurant with plenty of heat and authentic Thai dishes. We've since added restaurants in Circular Quay, Westfield Sydney, Neutral Bay, Chatswood and Galeries Victoria, and in 2015 we added organic, fresh produce from our farm in Byron Bay.     Sean who served our table was exceptional. Both Aussie & Japanese enjoyed his company. He's very friendly & exceptional. He did above & beyond for our requests. Food was amazing & I felt like I was in Japan!

    We ordered a selection of share plates and everything was delicious. Even though we had eaten plenty of food we couldn’t resist sharing a selection of desserts, they all sounded so good - and they were! Juan the waiter was very professional. A great atmosphere and we’ll be back!

    We had a wonderful time here- staff were so incredibly helpful accommodating out extra guests. The food was delicious as were the cocktails. Only positive feelings after our time here

    This was a great experience. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the food was fabulous. Lots of Spanish wines to choose from to complement the dining experience. The venue is great and the ambience just right! Well done.
