Lancelot is Vail's original prime rib house and has been serving the same slow-roasted favorite since 1969. Today, Lancelot offers a delicious array of carefully prepared steaks and seafood in addition to our time honored tradition. Our wine list features selections from around the world, with an emphasis on California and Napa Valley.

Locally owned and operated, we are a small team and strive to treat our customers like family. Serving dinner Monday-Sunday at 5:30p.m. The bar is open at 5:00p.m.

This is the third time we’ve eaten here this summer The food is fantastic and never disappoints. We have had family here and also friends and everyone was very impressed with the food and the service and the restaurant..like being in a big city restaurant in the mountains Great place!

Delicious food. Beautifully presented. Fire alarm started screeching and flashing during meal and the staff ignored it. The screeching and flashing lasted 20 minutes! Manager and staff did not announce if guests should evacuate or remain. When we asked waitress what was going on she said she did not know. So the alarm with ear piercing noise ruined the evening and there was no apology or explanation from management to guests.

My favorite place to eat in Vail. Consistently good, fairly priced for the area.

We had dinner at Lancelot on a Thursday night (9/19/24). We had a reservation and were assigned a nice table. Our server Ken was wonderful (as always). We had the prime rib with shoestring fries paid with a nice bottle of Merlot. It was a delicious dinner. The prime rib is really outstanding at Lancelot. We will be back next year.

When the doors to the patio are open in the summer, this is a lovely space. It can feel a bit dark or closed up during the winter. Having said that, the food is always really good and the service is always exceptional, attentive, warm, and helpful. I had the best martini here of our time in Vail with hand stuffed blue cheese olives. The grilled shrimp appetizer was delicious, and the Colorado striped bass was a very fun, pretty, yummy and healthful preparation and generous size. Truly loved the service! A very lovely experience!

You cannot visit Vail without a stop for dinner at Lancelot. It’s an absolute must. While reservations are recommended, walk-ins are possible. The food is excellent. And so is the service. The bisque is nice and creamy and thick and tastes like heaven, especially after a day living or skiing. We love their sea bass and filler,but our favorite is the Wiener schnitzel. Biggest and tastiest we’ve ever had. Top it off with the Apfel Strudel and you are set. We visited Lancelot for the first time in 2015 and kept returning every year, every time we stopped in Vail, definitely our favorite dinner spot.
