Lancelot is Vail's original prime rib house and has been serving the same slow-roasted favorite since 1969. Today, Lancelot offers a delicious array of carefully prepared steaks and seafood in addition to our time honored tradition. Our wine list features selections from around the world, with an emphasis on California and Napa Valley.

Locally owned and operated, we are a small team and strive to treat our customers like family. Serving dinner Monday-Sunday at 5:30p.m. The bar is open at 5:00p.m.

We spent a week in Vail and this was our best dinner. Service and food were excellent. We have eaten here many times over the years and it is always a consistently good meal. The value for quality of experience is the best we have found in the Vail Village and Lionshead areas.

Very nice restaurant experience. Waitstaff was excellent. Very attentive. All food we had was very good. Good flavors. Well cooked. Good variety of dishes. Would definitely good again when back in town.

Recommended by a friend who lives in Vail. This restaurant did not disappoint at all from the appetizers to the dessert. Worth every penny

We’ve been coming here for 8 years and the Prime rib wasn’t as good as previous years. It was disappointing.

Lancelot’s is one of the original Vail restaurants. There is a reason they have been in business all these years. The food is excellent and always consistent. While they are known for their prime rib, two of us had fish, one person had veal and the fourth had the best filet I have ever tasted! Upon arrival, the owner greets you and is very friendly and accommodating (someone came in and did not have a reservation yet he helped them out). Our server, Nina, was absolutely delightful and helped make our experience very enjoyable.

The prime rib was excellent. Cooked to perfection. Our server, Nina, was the best, didnt miss a beat. Highly recommend.

We make a visit to Lancelot a priority every Christmas season. Service, food, ambiance all excellent!

In town for business, I selected this restaurant based on the food reviews here on Open Table! The food was delicious. Our server was impeccable with her table service, describing the various dishes as well as making dinner recommendations. I will go back. I have one note to add for management that almost derailed a positive experience. Our party of 3 arrived at 7:50 pm for our 8:00 pm reservation. As we walked in we noticed a family of 3 seated in the waiting area, as we approached the hostess podium we overheard the father state to the wife “why didn’t we make reservations?!” As I approached the hostess she greeted us warmly and asked if we had reservations and I answered “Yes, we have reservations for 8:00 pm” She then stated loudly “ Please take a seat, there are 2 parties ahead of you with an 8pm reservation as well.” As she pointed to the family that we knew DIDN”T have a reservation at all and another family behind us, also seated and waiting. I pressed further and asked “For an 8pm, seating” ? To which she answered “Yes!” And motioned to where we could sit and wait for her to seat the other two parties ahead of us first. As I was contemplating should we stay or leave, because this was certainly disingenuous on her part, she suddenly appears and advises our table was ready and seats our party of 3 ahead of the other two parties already waiting, one of which we knew had no reservation at all. I’m assuming now the other party did not have a reservation either. I’m guessing she had a change of heart. Honesty and integrity fuels a businesses reputation. Always treat your customers fairly and act with integrity. Our servers more than made up for this unfortunate first impression. My colleagues and I enjoyed our meal, Christmas 🎄 carolers serenaded the restaurant during our meal and it made it all the more pleasant.
