Our service by the “Old Grumpy Lady” was great… what a ‘very nice lady’! Very attentive service. The food is a little underwhelming. The Chicken Marsala was a piece of fried chicken with Marsala sauce on top. That is not what I consider chicken Marsala. The parm risotto???? Oh my goodness… no flavor at all (bland). The Brussels sprouts were WAY too spicy! The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. For a dining room with an outstanding view, the windows let in way too much heat even with the shades. Insulated windows would benefit this restaurant.

We came in with 6 people and were sat right away. It took a few minutes to be served but we were assured our server would be over shortly instead of just ignoring the table until they had time which I appreciate. Once we got our server, Connie is who we got. She is A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!!!! Such a personality on that girl!! (:

I'm sure that because of Covid and Inflation, the experience was changed. I remember a 'fine' dining experience with full dining experience of white tablecloths, set table, full menu of steaks, with salad. But, we have not been in a couple of years. Bringing another couple we were expecting the prior experience and was expressing that to them, so disappointed.

My reservation was not prepped or ready with acknowledgment upon our arrival. We waited 15mins for our reserved Open Table reservation. It was my birthday dinner and I walked in to a beautiful view. Then the service was very disappointing- she couldn’t even make an Espresso Martini. The alternative choice of a Cold Brew Martini was then chosen and she couldn’t make what was on their own menu. I walked to the bar and choose my own liquor to explain how to make a simple Cosmo. This was the beginning of a horrible birthday dinner. We asked about Vegan options and she pointed us to the Vegetarian menu and insisted they were Vegan although my guests have dairy allergies and then could only offer them fries. My dinner guests could only have a black bean burger which could not be Vegan or fries. It took forever before she would offer us our first drink 25mins no joke. Then the spiders… above our dinning table, dismissed by staff and was told “Welcome to the Lake” like it was expected to have a 1/4 inch spider and a nest with an egg sack of spiders directly above our dinning table heads. We watch the head chef kill the spiders then joke with his staff and throw a napkin with a spider at her. The desert came with a stale old cake when I ordered Crème Brule. Very disappointing and I will never return.

Lovely view. Open atmosphere. Which makes it a little load. My husband had the prime rib, excellent. I had the chicken Marsala. Didn’t like the sauce, too much tyme. Waitress was fantastic. Really wish entrees came with salad.

Great food, great service. I think a little pricy for a buffet but I guess the food was pretty good.

I have been in hospitality all my life, live in Bellaire for years and have worked at the Lakeview restaurant. I took my almost 99 year old friend to Christmas dinner only to find a very busy and very understaffed Lakeview. Sat for 20 minutes plus before Sue greeted us. The buffet was very untidy and soup was cold. Chad, tending to the meat was a breath of fresh air in the middle of it all. For what we paid, we were both very disappointed to say the least, will not go back.
