Our $89 prix fixe tea service is offered Tuesday through Sunday.

Lady Mendl's is an unconventionally chic tea salon housed within a Georgian brownstone in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan. An opulent five-course tea is served in an eclectic and whimsical parlor by a doting staff. Patrons sip tea from hand culled vintage Wedgwood teacups as they nibble dainty finger sandwiches and house baked scones.

Evening Signature Cocktails:
Enter our private townhouse and discover our mixologist's curated range of cocktails; champagne, espresso martinis, fine scotch, etc.

Please note that our entrance is only accessible via a staircase of 10 steps. We do not have an elevator.

Located within The Inn at Irving Place, Lady Mendl's is housed in a Victorian style salon. Our private parties can accommodate up to 65 guests for a seated event and 75 guests for a cocktail party. In addition, our martini lounge, Cibar, is located on the ground floor and can also be used for private events or combined with the Lady Mendl's Salon. We are a beautiful location for destination weddings, bridal or baby showers, cocktail parties, and corporate events. Please complete an inquiry on our website for specific pricing.

These medium sized leaves produce a copper liquid that has a bright and fragrant cup. The tea is smooth and full-bodied with a malty aftertaste that stands up to a splash of milk or lemon

Transport yourself to a land of desert sands, caravans and palm tree filled oasis, with Moroccan Mint a delicious blend of spearmint and green tea. The green tea unfurls into large leaves, with a pale ecru cup and a strong minty flavor

This delightfully light tea brews to an ecru color and has the taste of baked goodies with an undertone of an earthly oolong. The rich exotic aroma is accompanied by the smooth, delicious taste of coconut macaroon with vanilla accents

I loved Lady Mendl's! They let you try as many different types of teas as you want and will gladly refill your sandwiches, dessert, etc., at no extra cost! Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff was so friendly! The only constructive comments I really have were that the service was kind of slow (too be fair it was very crowded on a rainy Saturday afternoon) and it was very loud but I'd still give Lady Mendl's a 10/10!

We had a nice time. Our server could have brought the tea quicker. We had to wait for our tea for every course. We were the only ones in the restaurant besides one other woman sitting alone.

What an amazing experience! The place is beautiful, the china so charming and eclectic and the food was beyond delicious. The service was impeccable. I will pass the word on and I will definitely be back!

Amazing service and the ambience is exactly what I wanted for a relaxing afternoon tea. The salad was refreshing, the sandwiches tasty and well-portioned for two people, the scones were fantastic and warm with the perfect sugar crunch on top, the crepe cake was light and subtly sweet and the petit fours + chocolate covered strawberries were the perfect decadent bites. It was a journey that we loved and the unlimited tea was an amazing value.

I’m almost reluctant to write this review because it might make my hidden gem too popular, making reservations harder to get! However, I feel compelled to express my gratitude for a truly wonderful visit. A wedding was booked in the main area, so my friend and I were seated in one of the smaller rooms, nestled in a cozy corner by the window. For 2.5 hours, we shared stories, laughed, and savored finger sandwiches, scones, and sweets. I lost track of time and nearly missed my next appointment because I was too comfortable to notice my phone alarm buzzing away in my purse. A big thank you to the staff: everyone greeted us warmly, checked on us regularly, explained everything to our satisfaction, efficiently refilled our teas (I switched teas with each new course, while my friend stuck with Earl Grey), and gave us just the right amount of space to enjoy our conversation. While the environment wasn’t as sumptuous as the main space, it had its own charm—an elegantly appointed library with chandeliers and a sense of cozy opulence. The food was delicious, as always. As a fan of Bridgerton, this is undoubtedly the best place to get a fix during the off-season. Bottom line: Whether you have a good friend, a new friend, an old friend, or even a "frenemy," take them to this place on a sunny or cloudy day, and you’ll both leave feeling refreshed and at peace. And if you’re on your own with a good book, this is the perfect spot for you too!

Lovely room and presentation. All of the food was delicious. I would definitely return and recommend this for a place to enjoy High Tea in NY City.

Amazing time. Second time here and didn’t disappoint. The 5 courses is more than most other teas in the city and very generous. Had to take some home. Service is phenomenal and so attentive. Will definitely be back.

I like the signature drinks very much, the scones were great, the sandwiches very bland but I appreciated the soup/salad option. Wish the staff were more appropriately dressed but the service was good. Charming, intimate atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Lovely place for afternoon tea. We had the afternoon tea with tea pairings. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Would definitely return and highly recommend if you’re in search for a special, afternoon tea in NYC.
