The pork and apple was extremely tasty. The rich dark gravy gave an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Highly recommend the fish special with roasted carrots and pesto risotto. Ask for a window seat to view the charming street of Kennett Square.

My husband and I ate at La Verona at noon yesterday. Upon entering, there was a very strong odor of bleach thru out the entire restaurant. At noon on Friday, we were the only ones in the restaurant until 4 women were seated 45 minutes later. Service was adequate, not great, as the waiter was busy with a large food delivery. Food was not as good as we remembered from past visits. The mushroom soup was watered down and the chicken piccata (with risotto and shredded cabbage with carrots) was nothing special. We left disappointed and will not return.

Within a short walk from where we were staying during a few days. Menu looked interesting. Beet salad appetizer was good. Barramundi special was good but very rich. Half duck was okay but noth8n* special. Waiter was attentive.

Escargot was delicious . We had it with lunch instead of dinner. The LaVarona sandwich with prosciutto , mozzarella, tomatoes and pesto was an outstanding sandwich . There were 4 of us and everyone was happy with their meal. Jenny, our server, was everything good in a wait person. Smiling, pleasant, efficient and she took excellent care of us . Not our first time in this restaurant and it won’t be the last!

The food and the service at this restaurant are always very good. However, the noise level is terrible and makes, what which should be a pleasant experience, very difficult to enjoy.

LaVarona is my go to place for Italian. Sam, the owner is always warm and engaging. Michael, our server, is the best and is very proficient. I highly recommend this place for northern Italian cooking.
