What better place to end a beautiful vacation than La Mer. It lived up to its reputation and more. No where can you find more impeccable service (very seamless and unobtrusive I might add). One is greeted from the moment you arrive like you are family. They make it a point to know your name, and everything was perfect from arrival to departure! Order the full seven course menu. EVERYTHING was delicious and cooked perfectly. The filet mignon combined with the foie gras was perfect. Nothing on the menu was disappointing. We would advise upgrading the dessert at the end....well worth it and delicious. While it is expensive, we feel that someday this place with be a Michelin star restaurant. The hotel already is. The view at sunset of the ocean and Diamond Head beach also adds another touch to a great dining experience.

What an amazing dining experience. The food was phenomenal. The staff were the most welcoming, attentive, and respectful I have ever seen. We were ushered into a beautiful area with the view of the ocean. It was quiet and peaceful. Our waiters went above and beyond, which seemed normal for them. The food was beyond exceptional. The portions appear small but are very filling. The filet mignon was exquisite, and quite possibly the most delicious food I have ever eaten. We ended the night with the most perfect soufflé. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The staff made it that much more incredible.

Great hotel , we were very thankful that hostess accommodated us ahead of our reservation time , nice atmosphere but unfortunately a highly trained waiters and servers did not make it for just Good food and high prices.

The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. La Mer was unquestionably the finest dining experience my wife and I have ever had…far better than the Michelin starred restaurants where we have dined.

Some of the best service in the world. Amazing food and atmosphere. Be ready to eat and certainly don’t skip the cheese.

Outstanding in every way. One of the best meals we have enjoyed in a long time. Impeccable service and a fantastic location/view. We will be back!

The food was generally excellent but not stratospheric and it was very expensive. We had Champagne Montcuit and Kistler Chardonnay, both outstanding. The amuse bouche and the souffle were fair but the chocolate desert was great.

Wow for my 60th!! Superb food, excellent service…most beautiful view….Kent our server from Holland was delightful…the lobster entree presentation was artwork and very delicious

An Experience of wonderful food and the best of service. Not an inexpensive meal but worth every penny. Had the full tasting menu. Couldn’t be happier! Our team of servers were the best! Alex, Ghen and Lawrence could not be beat. Sorry if I’ve spelled names wrong. Steve the manager came to wish me Happy birthday personally. What a wonderful personal touch.

La Mer is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. It was my partner’s 60th birthday, and the staff made it truly a night to remember. Our waitstaff Nick, Gen, and Laurence, were extraordinarily attentive, personable and were very knowledgeable about the menu and literally everything else. The food was nothing short of amazing and inspired. Do yourself a favor and do the “Menu Dégustation”, which is a seven-course prix-fix dinner with amazing flavors that somehow stand out individually yet blend together to create a stunning taste experience. We chose our own wine pairings, but you do have the option of having the sommelier pair the wine with the meal. This room and the views were extraordinary; our table overlooked the water and the view of the Hawaiian sunset was exquisite. We will be remembering our experience for years to come, and will hopefully be able to visit again someday.
