First time at La Marcha and we had a great time. Met up with friends and we decided on sharing tapas (didn't order the paella). For drinks we had a pitcher of red sangria which was way too sweet - and the fruit did not seem fresh (fruit cocktail?). This was the most disappointing order of the evening. For food we shared a number of tapas. The potatas cargadas - incredible. Highly recommend this dish, the oxtail on top of the crispy potatoes was so good! The cauliflower - was OK. A little on the mushy side - maybe slightly over-sauced? The calamares - very crispy, well executed. The squid ink aioli was a little muddy - definitely need to squeeze some lemon to brighten this dish. The tocino - soo good! Tender slab of pork belly and the poached figs were a perfect compliment. And we also ordered the croquetas de cangrejo - crispy, but not oily and delicious. And we shared the tabla de quesos - great mix of cheeses. I wish they had an option to do a mixed tabla of meat and cheese. Here you have to order a full meat plate and a full cheese plate. For dessert we shared the churros and the flan cheesecake. Both were great. The prices for the tapas are a little on the high side for a small plate but you can see they use quality ingredients. I would highly recommend going with a group of friends so you can try the various dishes. We'll be back to try the paella (and skip the sangria).

Benedictinos Croquetas were plentiful and flavorful. Eggs a bit over poached but still loaded with flavor. Oxtail was tender and delicious. Patatas Bravas were crispy on the outside, fluffy in the inside. The Red Sangria was dry and refreshing! Huge portions.

It’s always a lovely experience to dine at La Marcha. The service is very friendly and genuinely helpful. The food is fantastic. The pace is that of a European restaurant in that nothing is rushed, and the food doesn’t always come all at once. If you are in a hurry I’d suggest letting your server immediately know your timetable so they can work with you.

We were there for a 90th birthday celebration on Halloween night. The food was delicious as usual. The albóndigas and brussel sprouts are still our favorite. We ordered the two chocolate desserts to try them out since their chocolate cake was not on the menu. They were good, but not out of this world like the cake. Noise note: it was very quiet as we were there early. It’s usually busier and noisier but one could still carry on a conversation.

The food was exceptional, especially the sauces! Each dish had a distinct personality and multilayered flavor structure. The service was a step above: super welcoming, attentive but not intrusive, and knowledgeable. Open later than most top notch eateries in the East Bay. We’ll be back, again and again!

Went here for my husband's birthday. Sat at the corner spot at the bar for an intimate dinner. Our bartender was wonderful and very attentive. The food was terrific, the atmosphere just right. We were so happy to see that the restaurant filled twice in the time we were there....on a Tuesday! Look forward to going back soon to continue working our way through the tapas menu.

Amazing paellas and ambiance. Beverage is pricey. Great place for special celebrations and quality is consistent throughout the years I have been to this restaurant. Food is equally delicious as the ones you will find in Spain.
