La Dolce Vita est une entreprise familiale tenue par deux générations. Le « zio » (oncle) Giuseppe Salpietro et son « Nipote » (neveu) Nicola Fuccilli vous invitent à découvrir leur passion pour la cuisine et la culture italienne. L'histoire de La Dolce Vita a débuté il y a cinq décennies dans une petite ville nichée dans les collines de la Sicile. C'est de là-bas que proviennent la cuisine, les traditions et les coutumes authentiques de Giuseppe Salpietro, qui elles sont le fruit de siècles de bonne chère. La Dolce Vita croit que cette passion est la définition même de la douceur de vivre, et tente de l'insuffler dans chaque plat qui sort de leur cuisine. We were celebrating a family birthday. I requested a round table. Not only were NOT seated at a round table, but hostess claimed she had no record of my Open Table reservation. Someone “dropped the ball.”

I received a confirmation email. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservations and they did NOT have a reservation for us 4! It was hour and half wait but luckily we took outside sidewalk seating and got a table right away. It was so loud coming from the inside of the restaurant we were having trouble hearing each other out on the sidewalk! Food was ok but prices high for what received. My shrimp parm had 5 medium shrimps it was very small serving for the $35 cost, as were other dinners. I would not return

The experience was not good. It was so loud I could not speak to the person I was with. It was crowded but it was not managed. There were 4 gentlemen drinking beers right next to our table, waiting I guess for their table.

Very different experience than when we last went several years ago. Deafeningly loud. Food was mediocre. Experienced a language barrier with the wait staff topped with a bit of rudeness and impatience. Last time we thought everything was outstanding. This time, the only thing outstanding was the view.

Service was very good, food abundant and all were happy with their entrees. Our only complaint was that it is tomato season in NJ, therefore use NJ tomatoes on the caprese salad, not pale no taste hothouse tomatoes. The dish was easily exchanged for something else.

Sat outside and had the pleasure of Michael as our server. Apps of clams casino and mussels were terrific. Entrees well prepared as well. Sat outside and the noise level was prefect as inside was noisy. Our server Michael was top notch. Had real recommendations on the menu. A real pro.

Most of my dining companions liked or loved their meals. My Chicken Parm was excellent. However the accompanying penne pasta was way over-cooked. When the waiter asked how are food was, and I told him “Best chicken parm ever, but also most overcooked pasta ever” he just shrugged and walked away. Why bother to ask?
