"La Cita" the meaning for "a date" is exactly who we are! We are a great place to enjoy great food, family and friends. Our traditional delights are made from scratch including our pastries. If you have never tried our "Molcajetes" which are served on a hot lava rock with chicken, shrimp and steak with our housemade chipotle, or our Plato Placero which is served with chorizo, spiced pork, chicken and salted beef, you are missing something special! We are a BYOB establishment, so feel free to bring your favorite bottle! Come meet our family and enjoy our tradition!

    Food was not hot and the chicken for the enchiladas seemed premade AVR the sauce for one of our enchiladas did not taste good

    Very good Mexican food. Seems more authentic than the usual Mexican eatery. Staff very friendly .

    Nice little family-owned, BYO, Mexican restaurant on busy Rt. 70. Pretty tight quarters with about 10 tables. The empanadas are worth the trip, as are the street tacos and fajitas. Consistently good. If you order food to go, it is ready exactly at the time they give you.

    This was our first time at La Cita. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the Birria tacos. The Virgin Margaritas were very good, we brought a bottle of tequila with us to spike the drinks. Our waitress was great, explained the specials and answered our questions very well. We will be back to try the other dishes.

    All pretty good. Very small restaurant and it’s BYOB so no alcohol sold on site.

    We have eaten here twice, and both times the food was outstanding. It is home cooked, fresh, different, interesting, delicious and features especially fish in beautiful sauces. There are also traditional American-Mexican dishes like tacos and enchiladas but each time we go the specials are too good to pass up. We had pork, red snapper and an amazing shrimp ceviche-like starter. We also have had a tres leches cake that was out of this world. It's BYOB, they serve virgin margaritas in mango and lime flavors. It's just the best food and because it's small and on Route 70 it's easy to overlook. If you're looking for something different one night or once a week, this is your place.
