Le Krebs est un restaurant historique fondé en 1899 par Fred et Cora Krebs. Le restaurant est un point de repère populaire de Skaneateles depuis plus de 100 ans, au service des anciens présidents, des dignitaires et des célébrités. Le restaurant a tout simplement réouvert après des rénovations qui ont su préserver son histoire et sa beauté, tant appréciées de ses visiteurs. Le restaurant sert une cuisine sur le principe de la ferme à l'assiette et utilise le meilleur des ingrédients locaux frais et soigneusement sélectionnés, de même que des viandes et des fruits de mer de la plus haute qualité. Tous les bénéfices du restaurant sont remis à des organismes de bienfaisance du Central New York qui les femmes et les enfants.

The surf and turf with Japanese scallops and wagyu was divine. Probably the best scallops I've ever had. The hearts desire oysters with homemade balsamic pearls were a burst of flavor. The el diablo cocktail delicious. The server we had was wonderful and accommodating. All in all it was our 2nd time there and will continue coming back!

Fabulous restaurant. The interior was gorgeous. Good is amazing. And the terrific staff brought it all together. Great pick for Valentine's Day dinner

The Krebs is a beautiful restaurant, great staff that's very attentive. Varied and interesting menu. But the kitchen service was terribly slow on a not so busy day. Also the food was good, but not outstanding.

Great food, ambiance and love the menu. We’ve been here several times now and one peculiarity, your seated and it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get water and have your drink order taken. The restaurant wasn’t full so it’s strange to have it occur during multiple visits.

I have dined at Krebs for more than 30 years and always considered it an excellent choice. Last evening (January 3, 2025) was not a good experience. The greeters were exceptional, and the young staff was also exceptional. It took 20 minutes for the server to greet us as she was trying to make the couple next to our table happy because they had sent their food back to the kitchen twice. BY time she arrived and took our drink order twenty minutes had already gone by, the drink order took about 15 minutes to arrive. What is troubling is that there must have been 5 or 6 parties in the entire restaurant. When the server finally took our dinner order about 45 minutes after we first arrived, it took another 30 minutes for the dinner to arrive. It was a great presentation of food; I had smoked pork chop and other members of the party had a steak. The food was good but cold and not exceptional. For the money I paid it certainly was not worth it, and this was the first time after 30 + years I would make a complaint. The entire experience took 2 hours and 15 minutes. Fortunately, we were not in a hurry, so the time did not matter. We met some of the teens who were working there, and it was a pleasure to speak with them. The table service was far below their high standard, but other members of the restaurant were very friendly and exaclty what I would expect from that restaurant. The couple who was next to us said to "leave" when we sat down. I thought they were kidding but they were telling the truth. Krebs get your act together or if last night repeats itself you are in for some very hard times.
