Kona grill is in the middle of a lot of good restaurants. They aren’t up to the competition in my opinion. The main thing is the lack of value. And also personnel. The menu has pretty interesting items. Our food was fine. But it’s pricy. Shrimp tacos 3 were 23 or 24- no sides with that. I was going to get some clam chowder with my meal. 16 dollars. Side of green beans -9. Sea bass sliders on the appetizer menu for $34. Our waitress kept saying that the portions are small and that we’d need sides or appetizers . She said that about my poke bowl so I got some green beans and the poke bowl was way too large for one meal. I brought it home for lunch the next day. Two nice young women at the front desk. I gave them a surprise birthday cake to serve for dessert. We were celebrating a birthday. They never told our waitress so she came by trying to talk us into dessert while I was thinking “ixnay on the essertday “. We did have 6 drinks. Total bill 226 before tip for four. The entrees were poke bowl, shrimp tacos, flat bread, and I don’t remember the last one. One appetizer. Calamari. . Yikes.

Food and service were excellent as always. Our server Chloe was awesome! The music is really loud, especially in the bathroom.

Ordered off the restaurant week menu. Brian, the server was spot-on, helpful, quick, efficient friendly. The custom cocktails are all way to sweet, designd for people who don't like cocktails. We both ordered the prime rib, medium rare. They came cooked medium, covered with seasoning (some rub or dust), but even after scraping off the seasoning revealed completely flavorless meat. The amount of young kids there was overwhelming, louder than any Chuck-E-Cheese. This was not relaxing or enjoyable.

Excellent service and delicious food prepared as requested. Only one complaint and that was the noise level from the DJ. We couldn't hear the server nor could he hear us.

We went to Kona for lunch on a Sunday. The food was very good- we got a few sushi rolls. However there was a DJ playing very loud music. It was so loud I couldn’t hear the person sitting next to me. The managers there mistook a restaurant at midday for a nightclub. Even though the food was great, we won’t be back.

The food was absolutely horrible and way overpriced considered half of it was not even edible. Majority of the food came out burnt and when sent back it came out the second time the same way. Will never be eating here again.
