My friend & I arrived for a half off special during labor day weekend. Hadn’t been in a while so thought we’d grab dinner. Our waiter Jaylen was awesome. Very attentive with a friendly face. Ambience is good especially being in LaCantera. Food: The Ribeye was extremely tough & lacked flavor. I was shocked because most ribeyes have the fatty pieces that give the steak some flavor but something was terribly off on this night. The crab oscar on top was O.K. Mashed potatoes lacked flavor and wasn’t as creamy. Fried rice was good. Next time I return, most likely just stick with appetizers & drinks.

Restaurant was not very clean. Floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in a while. Stuff under bench seats, etc. Food was just ok. Server was very pleasant and tried her best.

Great service and food with a fabulous wine selection, bartender was great help in selection. We were there for lunch celebrating a friends birthday. Dessert on the house was delicious .

Great experience. If you can ask for Nick, he was an outstanding waiter and very knowledgeable of the whole menu. He recommended many items on the menu.

Very disappointed in the quality of salmon and tuna in the Poke Bowl. Macadamia nuts had a rancid taste and were too small to pick out of the bowl. Expectations are much higher for a meal at this price point. Decent service provided for some redeeming value. I live in Austin and hope this isn’t indicative of typical dining in SA.

The fist impression was our hostess wearing yoga pants. We were escorted to our seats that still had crumbs and bits of paper from the previous customers. The carpet was filthy and had a straw wrapping that stayed on the ground after the bus boy walked by several times. The meal was overly spicy but rescued by the shrimp tacos. The managers were polite about the food change. Was expecting something nicer for the prices but would have had a better experience at Chili’s.

Have eaten many times Kona Grill Northoark Dallas. The Kona Grill in La Cantera San Antonio lacked same ambience! Food was great.
