Went for Friday happy hour. They have a pretty good amount of selections at happy hour prices, but you’d have to order a lot of them to get full. We actually ended up ordering only potstickers off the happy hour menu, you only get 3. And sea bass sliders (comes with 2) , & salmon crudo off the regular menu. The piece of sea bass was almost non existent, and while the salmon was fresh , and the won ton chips crispy & flaky, there was no sauce, so it was very dry. Drinks were good. Service was excellent, server very nice & professional. Overall , the price you have to pay isn’t worth it in my opinion.

We went there for the Prime Rib and since we went early in the evening, expected a freshly cooked roast where we could get a very rare piece of prime rib. Much to our surprise, the prime rib comes already sliced (1/4 - 1/2 inch) and already cooked. To warm it up, has to be cooked more which ended up in getting a small piece of prime rib with a large containment of fat and cooked well done. Not chef's fault, just how you get it. Service was good, but slow.

A few years ago this place was awesome, food was fresh, but this round it was mid. Lots of fruit flies, especially in my wine. Sushi fell apart didn’t seem fresh. Servers were nice it was mainly the food that was eh.

We went here for my niece’s birthday. I haven’t been here in about 10 years because I remember it being not worth the money/not the right value. When I first sat down the floor was gritty underneath my feet and my water glass was dirty when I touched it. It was not a busy Wednesday night and the service was quite slow. We got some appetizers and they were ok. We ordered our meals with a side of Brussels. The kids food looked better than ours. The Brussels sprouts tasted like pure salt. My salad had the incorrect dressing and was drowned in it. The food was inedible. It took probably 20 minutes to ask for a check on a school night as well. Needless to say this will be my last time here.

Ribeye meatballs were great although the miso mashed potatoes that came with them were dry. My wife had the blue cheese salad and said it was excellent. We both ordered prime rib and were asked how it should be cooked. We both said medium rare but it came out without hardly any red or pink the way I always thought it should be. It tasted good but the horsey sauce was not spicy at all. We both had cheesecake for desert and it was delicious. Drinks were kind of expensive and if we hadn't used the restaurant week menu, the meal probably would have cost twice as much. All in all, I would probably return for restaurant week next year but would not come otherwise.

This restaurant is charging a near premium price for nowhere near a premium value on the food. Its way too expensive for the food quality, this should be a Mid to Mid-Low tier costing restaurant and there are just so many better options at the price point that Kona grill is charging. We won't be going back.

Love our food … service was great too ! We celebrated a special occasion , just 3 of us and enjoyed it…. Kona’s always our go to place. If things stay as good as they were this time we will be back .
