We were seated with our reservation almost immediately! Ordered drinks, took maybe 15 minutes to even get them, to find out that they were out of olive juice for a martini. No big deal, then when we ordered dinner, they were out of prime rib fairly early in the beginning of the night considering that was the special of the day. They were very slow on the food, but it was really busy. The Wait Steph and host were very friendly.

Kinda disappointed. Rolls were not tight and fell apart while trying to pick up. Their macadamia chicken although very tasty no where on the menu did it say it was deep fried. Wife has GI issues with fried foods so we had to trade entrees. Didn’t want to make an issue of it.

The service was excellent and most of the food was great. The Prime Rib in the Surf & Turf was not warm all the way, it was partially cold. We will eat there again as we normally enjoy the Happy Hour food and drinks.

Restaurant has really gone downhill yet prices have continued to rise along with every restaurant. It was 2/3 empty yet our server we had to track down for beverages, silverware, kids desserts. Our sushi took 50 minutes to come out and our soup and salad was brought after sushi even after we asked for it during the 50 minute wait for sushi. I used to love Kona and put it in a nice dinner out category. We dropped $200+ on a subpar meal and experience. Left very disappointed. We won’t be back to the KC location.

The dining room looked like a Denny’s and the service was in pretty much the same vein. Empty finished plates and drink glasses littered our table while scores of restaurant employees passed by. Did anyone ever train these people to work in a dining room? Pass.

For the price of the food we expected a nicer atmosphere. Instead it was more like a nicer sports bar with a little better food than a casual bar. If I’m paying $130 for a meal for three (without drinks), I kind of would expect more private seating, sharing a long booth with 3 other families.

Excellent meal especially the starters. Only minor beef was out of many specials.
