We were big fans of Kona Grill for quite some time. The service has always been quite good, and we felt there was value in the Kona Club. Early this year we had a bad experience-- the portions were smaller and were just average in taste. We tried again tonight, and found the same issues. Significantly smaller serving sizes, at a cost of $102 for two of us with no alcohol. The Pad Thai was dry and mealy; husband's Shrimp Penne was bland, and only 5 very small shrimp. Although the service was good, the food isn't. We won't be back.

Prices so overflated for what you get. No wonder there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. We were for Father's Day and it didn't seem so pricey. But husband had fish and chips today and first it was cod (1 piece) not Walleye and a few fries for $37. That's ridiculous, we won't be back. Thanks Biden/Harris!

While I’ve had positive experiences in the past, this one was a bit disappointing. From when we arrived (we were seated right away) to when we go our food arrived it was almost an hour. Our Brussels sprouts were over cooked, compared to how they’ve been prepared before. Other food was tasty, however, so it wasn’t all bad.

Very pricey - For example, the Fish & Chips is $37! It's just beer battered cod, and fries. Good service.

We got there at seven and didn't leave till after 10. Our server was very nice, however, everything there seemed to move at a snail's pace. The restaurant was not busy and seemed to have enough staff. This is only the second or third time that I have dined at a Kona grill and I feel like it happens every time. The only reason I come back is because my two friends with usually want to.

We were a group of four adults. Things started out fine. We ordered some things off of the HH menu first. Food and drinks tasted good. Fast forward to dinner. We kept waiting and waiting until it had been about 35 min or so and we had to ask if Our food was coming. Our server said it would arrive shortly. Another 10 min pass after which we asked again and she said she could bring the manager. No mention of the food was ready or not; we were quite hungry by then. Manager said he could comp one entree but still didn't answer if our food was ready. Eventually the food comes. My husband had ordered the Asian salad for dinner with chicken. The server never asked what size so they brought out a small size salad (side salad) with some grilled chicken. Taste was ok! One person had ordered the salmon and it was overcooked. I shared my meal with my husband as his was just not enough food and we didn't want to order more, for obvious reasons. Manager came out again and apologized and said there was some "miscommunication" in the kitchen. Our theory is that our server forgot to put our order in and never communicated that to us. The right thing would have been to inform us, apologize, and get it expedited. There was also some snafu with a wine order. In the end, the manager comped our entire order. I think that was the right move. One other thing to note - there were several fruit flies/gnat type bugs hovering around our table. That was not very appealing. In summation, we will not be going back there, at least not for a while. This may be an isolated event and we just happened to be unlucky. But with how expensive this place is and how poor our experience ended up being, I'm happy to skip it for some time.

The potstickers were great. The flatbread was good but, to our surprise, was liberally sprinkled with cilantro. If the menu had mentioned cilantro, we would’ve asked that it be omitted. The edamame should’ve been cooked a few more minutes and would’ve tasted better if tossed with a soy-based sauce. The chicken satay was only OK and its accompanying salad was sprinkled with cilantro (again, to our surprise.) Our server was somewhat inattentive and the manager largely AWOL, chit-chatting with the staff in the kitchen.
