We got there at seven and didn't leave till after 10. Our server was very nice, however, everything there seemed to move at a snail's pace. The restaurant was not busy and seemed to have enough staff. This is only the second or third time that I have dined at a Kona grill and I feel like it happens every time. The only reason I come back is because my two friends with usually want to.

We were a group of four adults. Things started out fine. We ordered some things off of the HH menu first. Food and drinks tasted good. Fast forward to dinner. We kept waiting and waiting until it had been about 35 min or so and we had to ask if Our food was coming. Our server said it would arrive shortly. Another 10 min pass after which we asked again and she said she could bring the manager. No mention of the food was ready or not; we were quite hungry by then. Manager said he could comp one entree but still didn't answer if our food was ready. Eventually the food comes. My husband had ordered the Asian salad for dinner with chicken. The server never asked what size so they brought out a small size salad (side salad) with some grilled chicken. Taste was ok! One person had ordered the salmon and it was overcooked. I shared my meal with my husband as his was just not enough food and we didn't want to order more, for obvious reasons. Manager came out again and apologized and said there was some "miscommunication" in the kitchen. Our theory is that our server forgot to put our order in and never communicated that to us. The right thing would have been to inform us, apologize, and get it expedited. There was also some snafu with a wine order. In the end, the manager comped our entire order. I think that was the right move. One other thing to note - there were several fruit flies/gnat type bugs hovering around our table. That was not very appealing. In summation, we will not be going back there, at least not for a while. This may be an isolated event and we just happened to be unlucky. But with how expensive this place is and how poor our experience ended up being, I'm happy to skip it for some time.

Charlaya is a very sweet girl and an amazing server. The food and drinks were also really good.

The potstickers were great. The flatbread was good but, to our surprise, was liberally sprinkled with cilantro. If the menu had mentioned cilantro, we would’ve asked that it be omitted. The edamame should’ve been cooked a few more minutes and would’ve tasted better if tossed with a soy-based sauce. The chicken satay was only OK and its accompanying salad was sprinkled with cilantro (again, to our surprise.) Our server was somewhat inattentive and the manager largely AWOL, chit-chatting with the staff in the kitchen.

Everything was very good. Just wondering why I was sitting on a torn up booth that had been partially covered with duct tape. Very cheesy for an upscale pricey restaurant.

Ordered some apps and steaks - apps were fantastic! One steak was fatty and the other had to be sent back as it was ordered well done and came back medium- it was pink pink. Our server was wonderful .

Straight up, EP Kona Grill Happy Hour is the best deal in town! Prices start at $3!!! I highly recommend the chicken satay, chicken bbq flatbread and the Kona margarita. Gorgeous setting, lots of room and the most attentive staff will enhance the delicious food - combination of Asian and American.

We’ve been here a number of times before. The food and service is usually good. This time, my poke bowl was good but my partner’s French dip sandwich wasn’t good. It arrived cold, the AuJus was lukewarm and the meat was fatty. Our main issue was the service. It wasn’t all that busy, lots of empty tables. Our server was not very attentive. I had ordered sweet potato fries that didn’t arrive with the rest of the food. Our server didn’t check back with us until we were done with the rest of the food. When I told her about the missing fries, she said she’d check. She said they had gotten cold and would be remade. It took an additional 15 minutes to get the fries, when you normally would be having desert. Not a great experience.

We loved the food, service and value. We were TOTALLY put off by the condition of the seats in the booths. They were taped and in very poor condition.
