    The only downside was that the downstairs dining room was chilly on a very cold evening. Food and service were so good though that we had a lovely evening

    We love Kona Grill but Valentines weekend we will never repeat here. They created a special menu and prices were higher. The food quality was terrible and you could tell the were over booked with reservations

    This was my first time trying Kona and I will probably not return. We had only gone because we were given gift cards. We had a reservation and arrived on time. We were seated very quickly, only having to wait a minute or two. Our waitress was very polite. It was very busy and she did seem a little overwhelmed, but she was still great. The price of the food was not worth it to me. I got the NY strip for $45 and it didn’t have a taste at all. I have had better at Applebee’s. We ordered a side of Mac and cheese and it was as cold as could be. The fries were very good though. Overall, it was okay, but nothing I would go to again.

    I have to give a disclaimer first—it was Valentine’s Day weekend and the restaurant was very busy. But, they were not taking walk-ins and I had made a reservation the week before. I thought that the restaurant would have been more prepared for the crowd—since it was reservation only. I felt like all we did was wait, and wait, and wait some more. We waited 15 minutes to be seated, then another almost fifteen minutes to have a waitress finally even acknowledge. I ordered a mixed drink and my husband just got water….that took another 10 minutes. We ordered dinner right away, seeing that we would probably be waiting more. I was getting nervous when multiple tables around us were asking to speak to a manager. We waited almost an HOUR to get our dinner and it was VERY disappointing. We both ordered $40+ steaks and both were not cooked correctly and the sides were not even close to being fresh—how can you mess up mashed and fingerling potatoes! The fingering potatoes were so old that they were like small balloons that just collapsed when you tried to cut them. Neither one of us finished our meals and only asked for a take out box to give the leftovers to our pups at home…. All in all, it was very disappointing experience and I’m not sure if we will be back—especially not on a holiday weekend. I can think of a better way to spend almost $150…

    This was an awful experience. It took 20 minutes for our appetizer to get us, and then another 40 before our entree was served - so an hour after originally ordering. Our server did not appear to be concerned nor did he ever check on us. We heard multiple other tables complaining about bad food or poor service as well. Will never be coming here again.

    It was extremely crowded and even with reservations, we waited 20 minutes for our table. They ran out of ice tea and brought us green tea instead without even mentioning it. The food was good but only after adding salt and pepper to it. Otherwise, it was bland. Probably won't go back.

    Made reservations weeks ahead for a party of 6 for 6:45pm (for my wife’s birthday). All of the party arrived at the restaurant by 6:35 and we checked in with the hostess to be told that they were waiting for a few tables to clear to accommodate us… At 7:15, now 30 minutes past the reservation time and 40 minutes past the time we arrived, we had not been seated and asked the hostess if she had an approximate timeframe as we had plans at 9pm, again for the birthday, and had scheduled this dinner time around that. Finally got seated at 7:30 (in the bar area by pushing 2 small high top tables together). Waitress didn’t come to the table until 7:45 and we let her know it was a birthday dinner and placed our drink order… after placing our food order and being there for some time with zero attention from anyone, I caught our waitress walking by at 8:15 and asked if she could let us know about our timing on the dinner(s) and was told “about another 20-25 minutes”, meaning that they had not started ANY part of it!! And there was no possibility of us getting dinner now and making the 9pm show that we had booked… She got the manager and addressed the situation, and without any word with us at all he disappeared for another 10-15 minutes and as we all were putting our coats on to leave finally came up to talk with us and let us know that he was going to “comp our dinner”…lmao!! There was NO food to comp!! Nothing had even been cooked yet, let alone brought to the table or thought about… He then stated that he would give us some gift cards to “give them another chance when they aren’t as busy” and blamed the problem on corporate… He then came back and gave us a card for a free appetizer… Which was as big of a joke as the entire experience!! I do not complain about things EVER!! And I am typically the most understanding person as a multiple business owner including restaurants… but this was above and beyond terrible in so many ways!! He let a 6 top ($600+ check) walk out unhappy!

    I was hoping to speak with someone regarding my experience at your establishment located in Cincinnati Ohio on 02/14/25. Which was expected to be a great night out to enjoy our date night turn into the worst experience ever. To start I had already scheduled reservations for this specific night. We arrive a little early but nothing to major. But when granted told it would be about a 45min to hour wait. I was then told if we’d like we could sit at the bar it was full service. So seeing as we drive about 30mins from our hotel we went ahead and sat at the bar. Took swole to even get our first drink after finally getting the servers attention we ordered a drink and then was awhile again before we were able to even place a food order. After finally getting a food order placed 5 mins or so go by and the server days would you like another drink because we are about to close to remind you we just put in our food order not even 5 mins ago but bite she’s saying she can take our final drink order and ID advising us to go ahead and pay our bill. So at this point I’m completely confused on why I’m paying for food haven’t even had an appetizer brought out, still working on on first drink but being advised to post my bill ahead of everything. Why would a place in which you made reservations for be rushing me to pay and I haven’t gotten anything? The glasses were completely dirty and sticky in which the bar drinks came in. I paid over $100 for food I hadn’t even yet seen or tasted. I wasn’t able to enjoy my drink while i ate due to we waited nearly two hrs before our food finally came out in which at this point the food was dropped off not by our server and we were not approached again by anyone from the staff. To start with the food. We ordered dumplings as an appetizer that ended up coming with the food which was 2 hrs after we arrived, they were completely cold as if they were just sitting the whole time, my fiancée ordered the steakhouse burger in which she did not get
