We’ve been a customer for years, where early on, it was our go-to for date nites.
However, the last 3 out of 4 visits have been us-par to say the least.
We were there with my daughters and grandchildren to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
1st, both orders of potstickers were COLD inside. You don’t want to serve people undercooked pork! Our waiter did comp them, and brought us another order that was at least warm…that we were charged for.
2nd, my daughters burger was undercooked (for a $22 burger, it should be perfect!$. When she pointed it out, it took 15 minutes for it to come back out.
Last, when I got the bill, we had been charged for BOTH burgers..the undercooked one and the one that replaced it. Our server apologized and corrected it, but good that I checked carefully.
The other two previous visits that were subpar also involved undercooked food, and incorrect orders that we had to wait for to be corrected. I’m one of those two cases our waitress was downright snotty with me when I kindly asked that my $40+ sea bass be cooked…it wasn’t warm…it was COLD.
Our server this visit was pleasant and attentive, and I did tip him for that…much of this was not his fault.
For an upscale restaurant with upscale prices, I expect good service and good, properly cooked food.
After these last visits, I’m not at all enthused to return, nor recommend KG. There are far too many choices that we’ve also frequented that do it much better than our recent experiences with you.
