    Overall a good experience. Could have used a little more sensitivity to timing needs. (We needed to get to a show and the server did not seem sensitive to our timing). My New York strip steak, while well prepared, had too much gristle.

    Oof. Went for lunch and it was a weird experience. Asked for iced tea -- got watered down coffee and server admitted she was distracted while opening and messed up. Never made it back with a fresh glass until we were done eating. We have a gluten allergy, and asked why the California rolls were not gluten free -- answer: because they are pre-made and the mix has gluten, but server told us they could make a separate California roll if desired. When she came back, we did indeed ask for that "separate roll" she mentioned and she acted like she had no idea what we were talking about. The pre-made batch of California rolls were no better than a supermarket, the double-cheeseburger (found in the "lighter fare" section of the menu, which is funny, was fine). Food was way overpriced and nothing special.

    We apologize about your experience Mike and apologize about our missteps. I'm very alarmed by most of your comments in this post. We do not pre-make our sushi rolls. The crab mix we use does contain gluten because of the motoyaki mayo. We can actually make most of our rolls gluten free including the California roll by changed or omitting a few ingredients.     This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences that I have had. The service was average. Items that were ordered were not brought out. The manager came over and made this "grand" gesture of discounting one of the entrees that was part of a special. He made it seem like he was going to discount the entire amount, but only discounted the entree and the salad that was forgotten. The New York strip steak was thinner than the leather on my shoes. It wasn't even a quarter inch thick. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant.

    Incredible food!!! 🤤 I had the NY strip steak and it was the best!!! Others had fish and chips and eel sushi rolls!!!! 🤤 Fantastic! Service from Rick was the finest I've had in any place or resort in the world!! Ambiance is lovely and enticing. Overall a 5 star experience from beginning to end!

    Our waitress was superb. Didn’t rush us to order- kept drinks coming- didn’t have to wait on a check. The food was absolutely delicious. Best ribeye I’ve had in a long long time.

    Meatballs tasted like they had been microwaved.. sushi was warm. Pay attention the table option reminded me of Applebees.

    I've been a fan of this place in the past. Today it struck me as high-priced for the food that was provided. Food received was good. Every item on the bill just seemed overpriced.

    Kona Grill is severely overpriced. California Rolls cost around $20! These typically run $5-10 at a legit sushi restaurant. Appetizers are the same price as full entrees. The food and atmosphere don’t warrant the overinflated costs. Mediocre very overpriced food. Small portions and a deeply unsatisfying experience. How are they even still in business????

    I met an old friend from high school while he was in town. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls and had a couple of beers. It was Halloween, so business was pretty slow which made for a reasonably quiet environment for us to catch up.
