Our first time and everything was a miss. No AC in the restaurant, four items we tried to order were sold out. The fourth item the server says is definitely available, then 10 minutes after we order are told it is actually sold out. The server kept pushing for up sales (no, I don’t want a 1942 watermelon margarita), and overall was not attentive. The GM said we could come back and order the items they were out of stock of today “on her” next time, but if I’m not taken care of the first time I go, why would I come back?

Chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps used to be my favorite but, this time it changed. I could barely find chicken and shrimp on it and the taste wasn’t that good.

Water cup was dirty and my coconut shrimp roll was falling apart and pieces were huge when I specifically asked to be cut thin.

Was greeted very friendly at the door, asked if we wanted upstairs or inside. We went upstairs and noticed that a good cleaning was needed. I ordered the surf and turf and my husband the ribeye. Both meats were asked to be cooked medium well and the meat was well done, and very bland. Shrimp had no flavor and the mash potatoes were extremely tasteless.

Kona Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. We shared the sweet chili glazed salmon with crispy Brussel Sprouts. It was delicious as usual. We shared the butter cake for dessert. It was a generous portion and very tasty. The highlight of the dinner was our server, Jordyn. She was so pleasant and made our dining experience a delight.
