We had a wonderful experience. It was my first time going and Juan was great. The food was wonderful, we ordered crispy rice, rock shrimp, double tuna roll, and tomahawk short ribs

Food and service was really good. Ambience was really nice. We thought the music was a little loud, as it was tough to have a conversation at the table.

If you appreciate really good sushi, you owe it to yourself to visit. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly host who seated me immediately. The dining room is well appointed, with subdued lighting, and a great vibe. There is both table seating as well as seating at the sushi bar, both being very comfortable. Prices are in line with the quality of the food. I ordered the Sushi Moriwase and was not disappointed. The portion size was perfect for me, although someone with a lighter appetite might share this plate. I also want to suggest the Katsuya Fresh cocktail, which was a perfect accompaniment with the meal. I might add that I am not generally a vodka fan, but this drink was absolutely outstanding!

Food is always wonderful, service always harried but steady. It's helpful that the waiters ask/know if you need to be out in time to catch a performance at the Pantages. We always go back!

They didn’t bring all of our order so one star deducted but food and cocktails were delicious and nice servers

Everything was good (service and food), but really not much has changed in the past decade when this was a hot spot in LA. Decor and ambience feels trapped in 2012, which is probably the last time I visited this location. Food was good, but overpriced for the portions and quality. If you can get a spot at the bar for happy hour, it’s worth it! The experience was more positive than negative, but just a little lackluster for me.

Best decision ever! My daughter and I dined at Katsuya Hollywood pre-Hamilton on a Saturday evening. From greeting to service to food, the experience was excellent. The greeter was super friendly and accommodating especially since I called to say we were running 20 minutes late. We were seated immediately, and our waiter greeted us quickly. He asked if we were planning to catch the 8:00pm performance of Hamilton so he could time our dining experience. We ordered right away taking two of his recommendations; both outstanding. We had the cucumbers, Brussel sprouts, spicy tuna crispy rice, vegan avocado crispy rice (my favorite and I'm not even vegan), bake crab rolls (1st recommendation), and rainbow roll. Each item was beautifully prepared and delicious. We ended by sharing the miso chocolate cake with ice cream and caramel sauce (2nd recommendation). Our back-up wait staff were polite and attentive refilling our waters and taking away dishes as needed. We will make it our go to place for Pantages performances. Thank you Katsuya for an excellent start to our wonderful evening. Side note: Park 1/2 block from Katsuya at 1627 Vine Street for $10 parking from 6:00pm to 6:00am.
