The mood was awesome when we arrived. Our server was excellent ✅✅. After that it quickly changed lol. The mood was quickly thrown off by the DJ, who didn’t quite know what mood to set and was mixing too much for the ambience of the place, specially dinner time. The food was bland. I order the grilled chicken, the sauce made it work but the chicken itself was not season well. We also ordered lobster fried rice and that fried rice was so bland we couldnt eat it. The best thing was the yellow tail Nigiri. Overall I give this place a 3 for the looks and server.

We are great fans of Katsuya, go to Woodland Hills about 3 to 4 times a month, encino about every few months. I like the menus at those two spots much better, bigger variety and much less expensive. Also Hollywood is much darker it was hard to see the menu even with the little table lites. No complaints about the food it was delicious. Perhaps the over priced menu was because it is a tourist destination or rent is very high.?

We had a wonderful experience. It was my first time going and Juan was great. The food was wonderful, we ordered crispy rice, rock shrimp, double tuna roll, and tomahawk short ribs

Food and service was really good. Ambience was really nice. We thought the music was a little loud, as it was tough to have a conversation at the table.

If you appreciate really good sushi, you owe it to yourself to visit. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly host who seated me immediately. The dining room is well appointed, with subdued lighting, and a great vibe. There is both table seating as well as seating at the sushi bar, both being very comfortable. Prices are in line with the quality of the food. I ordered the Sushi Moriwase and was not disappointed. The portion size was perfect for me, although someone with a lighter appetite might share this plate. I also want to suggest the Katsuya Fresh cocktail, which was a perfect accompaniment with the meal. I might add that I am not generally a vodka fan, but this drink was absolutely outstanding!

Food is always wonderful, service always harried but steady. It's helpful that the waiters ask/know if you need to be out in time to catch a performance at the Pantages. We always go back!

Everything was good (service and food), but really not much has changed in the past decade when this was a hot spot in LA. Decor and ambience feels trapped in 2012, which is probably the last time I visited this location. Food was good, but overpriced for the portions and quality. If you can get a spot at the bar for happy hour, it’s worth it! The experience was more positive than negative, but just a little lackluster for me.
